Sexy and powerful but with a sassy, modern edge was the order of the day at Versace.  Madame Versace did not disappoint long time fans of  ‘va-va-voom Versace’ and will no doubt also attract newer and younger fans with it’s contemporary chic attitude.  Like Aussie Collette Dinnigan, Donatella referenced Alice in Wonderland but unlike Ms Dinnigan who kept it pretty and feminine, Donatella’s Alice was sexy and strong.  Short skirts, chain mail, geometric prints, lots of silk and chiffon, sexy colours of deep lilac, pink and green and on models with lustrous hair, soft makeup and long legs.  A collection for Gen X, Y and anyone else who can carry it off.
