I think the mixed reviews for this place probably reflect that service can vary across employees or something. I've seen my artist for a long time (probably 1.5-2 years), and it's been the best eyebrow service I've had. Before coming here, for a long time, I went to other, quite premium-tier places like Parlour B and Sharon Lee. I usually feel that you get what you pay for and I don't mind paying for what may be better quality, but the services I got elsewhere typically both involved a lot less professionalism than I've had from my artist and cost more! It can be nice to go to a lavish salon for beauty/hair services, but if the actual service kind of leaves you feeling like the business is partly coasting on their brand's luxury image and it's an impersonal, rushed process, those elements of the experience aren't that meaningful. I felt this was an issue with brow services elsewhere, and it's just never been a problem at Brow Bar. The other advantage of Brow Bar as compared to competing businesses I've been to is that it's really easy to rearrange your appointments if you need to, since you can easily see staff availability online and book/reschedule online. Also, yes, it's true that it's more expensive than what you'd probably pay at more general beauty businesses, but I think it's worth it when the service requested is that person's specialty.
